Agamemnon

8 September 2010
Next week several students, graduates and teachers of the College will be starring in a production of the Greek classic Agamemnon and we would like to invite you all to attend. Part of the English Language Theatre in Prague season, the play tells the story of the fall of Troy and the return of the King of Argos to his homeland. Re-imagined in the setting of World War I, Agamemnon offers a very entertaining evening with great acting, dancing and spectacular costumes alongside a demonstration of some of the excellent English language skills being developed by students here at the college.

Directed by Yegor Lanovenko, a recent graduate of the College and just back from the Edinburgh Festival where he received excellent reviews and co-directed by Logan Hillier, the Head of Performing Arts at the English College in Prague, the show also stars a host of professional actors from various parts of the world, Norway, Canada, the U.S., the Netherlands and India, to name a few.

If you would like to reserve a ticket please email logan.hillier@englishcollege.cz with your name, email address and the night you would like to reserve along with the number of tickets. Tickets can be paid for at the door. The show begins at 7.30pm, will be finished by 9.15pm and takes place at Divadlo Na pradle from Wednesday 15 September to Saturday 18 September. "I would like to convey my opinon to parents who make decision whether to enable their children to study at the English College: definitely do not regret expenses as there is nothing better then having a student who likes going to school which passes a friendly atmosphere on you straight at the entrance. When you attend a parent meeting accompanied by your son or daughter, then you will understand that you could have not chosen any better school. "
Olga Havlová - Parent
