Library/Student ID Card:

Your Library Card is issued free of charge for the duration of your studies at the College. Each card is fitted with a student photograph and a unique bar-code. This bar-code is required for the Library automation system and serves as a reliable identification tool.

Students should carry the Library Card with them during school days.

Without a Library Card no books, textbooks, videos, etc. can be borrowed.

However, you don't need the card to return books, textbooks, etc. The absence of Library Card cannot be used as an excuse for keeping overdue books.

The Library Card cannot be passed on to another student to borrow resources from Library - each student has to use his or her own card.

If the Library Card is lost or damaged beyond repair - a fine of 100 CZK will be charged for replacement. However, if the card has been stolen (together with your purse for example), you will not be charged for a replacement if you supply an official confirmation of the incident (e.g. police report). When reporting theft to the officials, it is advisable to also report the loss of the Library Card.
