Unfortunately, these figures were based on incorrect data and did not include foreign universities. That is why the English College was near the bottom of the list, when it should have been near the top. Out of our 51 university applicants in 2005, 49 gained university places (96%), 57% in the CR, 30% to the UK (including Oxford and Cambridge), 13% elsewhere. For a full list, see link Pastoral Care and Pastoral Development -Universities and Careers

Skiing and snowboarding trip

1-7 January 2006
This Year's skiing trip has gone down in the history of the College as one of the most successful. During the first week of January we covered about 120km of downhill skiing and snowboarding. Some students found the courage to cross-country ski some 15km on the route Jitřenka - Černá hora - Jitřenka. The whole event reached its climax on Friday with the Jitřenka Cup race. This involved going down two legs in four slalom categories, in two different tracks, four hundred metres long, both of them having thirty gates, under ideal snow and weather conditions, on a carefully prepared piste. The stay in a cosy traditional mountain cottage, being well fed by an excellent chef, well behaved students, some expressive musicians, no accidents or injuries, all these facts contributed to a successful school trip.
