Undergraduate Scholarship at Bennington College, USA
June 2007
The English College in Prague is proud to announce that one scholarship is available each year for the next three years from 2008 for an ECP student in Year 6 to study for four years at Bennington College, Vermont, USA (www.bennington.edu).
Read criteria
Academic ability with predicted IB scores in the 40s or upper 30s, with additional
qualities, talents and achievements, demonstrating a high level of curiosity, creativity and achievement.
Candidates must submit an application to Bennington College (a combination of the Common Application and the Bennington Supplement), including a letter from the student as to why he/she would like to study at Bennington, school reports and predicted IB grades, and a letter of recommendation by ECP faculty. If more than one student is interested in the scholarship, ECP will institute a selection procedure to decide on a suitable candidate.
Scholarship dollars are directed toward all Bennington fees (tuition, room, board, and required fees), and will be based on family income so that the student would pay essentially the same fees to Bennington College as they currently pay to ECP. These fees will increase annually at the same rate as tuition.
Additional costs beyond tuition, room and board to be met by the candidate: air fares, travel within the USA, books, pocket money, and the cost of the seven-week field work term in January/February each year.
