Elizabeth Platt

Elizabeth grew up in the north east of Scotland but moved to Hertfordshire to complete a Bachelor of Science in Astrophysics. She then took a year out to work as a database designer before returning to academia to complete an MSc in Astrophysics. Elizabeth spent a few years as a researcher in the field of planetary science in London before returning to Scotland to become a programmer. After several years working as both a programmer and web video creator, Elizabeth returned to academia once again to complete an MLitt in Celtic Studies. It was this most recent return to university that renewed her passion for education. Immediately after completing the MLitt, Elizabeth trained to become a teacher of Physics, achieving her PGDE. She has spent most of her teaching career working throughout Scotland and, most recently, Germany.

In her spare time, Elizabeth writes novels with her fiancée, knits avidly and makes handbags.
