Jana Fuchsová

Teacher of PE & Sports, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award

Jana is a native Czech, born in Brno. She graduated from Masaryk University’s Faculty of Sports Studies with a teacher´s degree in Physical Education, also graduating in Applied Kinesiology. She spent 2016 in Spain on the Erasmus programme, completing courses in several different sports. In 2017 she signed up for another study programme abroad, this time in Denmark, and stayed on after completing the course, working as a PE teacher at the Aarhus International School, until returning to the Czech Republic in August 2022 to teach PE at the ECP.

In her spare time, Jana competed in ballroom dancing competitions for over 15 years and as a teenager, she also competed in athletics. She is  interested in a variety of sports, which she practises on a regular basis, and among her favourites are dancing, fitness, skiing, running and hiking.

Jana is interested in a healthy lifestyle, which includes not only physical activities, but also a  balanced diet, healthy habits, rest and overall well-being. She hopes to pass on this message to her students and to motivate them by being the best example herself.
