Prepare for the entrance exams or for the academic interview

You should know before you apply that candidates for Y1, Y2 and Y3 need to sit written entrance exams in English, Mathematics, non-verbal skills and also Czech, if they speak the language. Exams will be set at the level appropriate for the expected year of entry.

Candidates for Y4 and Y5 do not sit written entrance exams but they are invited for an academic interview led by the Deputy Head and two or three other teachers. The academic interview will partly focus on some of the subject specialisms that the student wishes to study at IB. If necessary for the decision making process, your child might be asked to do an additional written assignment in their chosen first language for IB.

Aptitude test

Once you have submitted the application form and your child has completed the interview, we are happy to invite your child to take an aptitude test before the actual entrance examination on one of these dates:

  • Monday 14th February 2022
  • Monday 14th February 2022

An invitation will be sent to all registered candidates in the course of January. Please note that the aptitude test is only available to Y1, Y2 and Y3 candidates.
