Havel's Memorandum

We are celebrating our 25th Anniversary at the English College in Prague this year. In recognition of our Founder Patron, Václav Havel, our Head of Drama, Logan Hillier prepared a performance of Memorandum.

Consequently, the senior school production presented this Havel’s play at Divadlo Na Prádle last week. This is a not-for-profit production and all the monies from tickets went towards funds for the ECP’s Václav Havel Scholarship.

In keeping with the ECP’s cross curricular theme of Technology this academic year, the setting of the play uses stylistic inspiration by 1960s Futurism. This is a great chance to explore, examine and interpret the important creative and intellectual themes in Havel’s work. To sum up, it is offering an important insight into the philosophy of our Founder Patron as a playwright.
